And off I went, guided by my interests in
things military.
In 2000, I graduated from Queen's University with my Bachelor
of Arts in Political Studies. My classes focussed on foreign policy
and international relations. But my interest wasn't satisfied.
Soon after, I started the Masters of Strategic Studies program
at the University of Calgary's University of Calgary. There,
I was immersed in classes on strategic thinking and at conferences
on defence and security issues. I wrote and successfully defended
my thesis on strategic planning and vision within Canada's Department
of National Defence and the Canadian Forces. I even researched
and co-wrote some policy reports and gave interviews to the media
(mostly the French CBC, mais bien sur!).
Now... now I long to get to the next level: furthering my career
in the research, development, and support of Canada's defence
policy!
