I don't really know how I became interested in the military. None of my relatives before me had ever served.

Perhaps it was the discovery of my Dad's collection of models - a treasure trove in the basement of plastic figurines he put together growing up - that sparked my fascination.

Perhaps it was my inate ethical feelings of right and wrong, and the need to fight for what was right
that fuelled my passion.

Or maybe it was all the Tom Clancy books I read.

This interest in things military and defence only continued to grow the more I was exposed.

If you're wondering why I didn't become a soldier myself, my bad eyesight (foiled!) and my asthma (foiled again!) are too severe...

...so instead, I'm trying my own way to serve.
