Once upon a time, I was given a computer
by my parents. It was a great machine - especially for playing
games. But when I first started tinkering with the first version
of Publisher...
My artistic skills began a slow merging with the new technology
the more I dabbled with the computer. In High School, I had started
as a cartoonist but then added desk-top publishing to my skills.
From there, the more my skills were honed the more developed I
became - joining a cultural newspaper in my first two years of
undergrad, then starting my own international and community paper
in the latter two (but that's another story).
Strangely, I would always find opportunities to exercise these
attributes. Attending the young and budding Centre for Military
and Strategic Studies for my Masters program also had a side-effect
whereby I was given opportunities to exercise my image manipulation
and design talents to create various works.
From pamphlets to conference posters to logos, my interest in
defence and my creativity intertwined in harmony.
