Graphic design and desktop publishing prepared me to make the jump onto the world-wide-web - especially since they closely parallel website and webpage design.

I won't claim to be at a professional level, but I'm still learning. In fact, I have been hired to design simple but aesthetically practical sites for university courses, research projects, and small businesses.
